Summary: CFL light bulbs do create electronic reactive power. The power factor on a typical lighting circuit with CFL bulbs will be between 60% and 75%. But it is not correct to think that this reduced power factor has any impact on the amount of electricity saved by a compact flourescent light bulb.

Summary: GIG2 claim that the Voltage Control Guard 1 - VCG1 - captures unused energy from noise in the electrical system operating on well-accepted electromagnetic principles. This is technically possible, but not material to most consumers!
Summary: DealMe are on a 'sticky wicket' to use an Australian term. A product that offers no value. The claim that it has been tested and Approved for Australian homes is bogus. Despite being spoken to in writing, they continue to promote this product.
Summary: Although the appliances listed can alter power factor (If you run any of the following: Air Conditioners, Furnances, Space Heaters, Refrigerator, Freezer, Dishwasher, Well Pump, Floor Vacuum, Attic Fan ...) power factor correction will not save energy or money for consumers.
Summary: We are working directly with KVAR to resolve the allegations and counter allegations published on the internet. The lower side of KVAR claims (6%-10%) "may" be possible in certain home conditions.

Made in China! What does UL design related standards mean? You either are UL rated, or you are not. The product may alter power factor, but this does not save energy or reduce your electricity bill! The Power Cube meets all the requiremenst of a power factor correction scam!
