List of Domains Advertising Energy Scams

Thank you for you interest in energy saving scams. open4energy provides quality unbiased information on how consumers and small businesses can save energy. We hope that our information on the negligible saving from consumer power factor correction will help you correctly evaluate the potential for power factor savings in your home.
The idea that energy conscientious consumers, who deserve to be commended for their initiatives, are being duped is quite unacceptable to us. We have moved the reader discussions on energy saving scams to Scamraiders as they have better support for issues around fraud. We have transferred the maintenance and secure distribution of the list of domains we block to adTumbler, our Internet marketing consultancy.
It is with dismay that we have discovered the extent to which unscrupulous opportunists have hijacked the internet, and are preying on our and other readers. There are over 140 scam sites, false claims, false testimonials, false videos, false content, manipulated search results, and 100's of affiliates promoting the products and services involved.
We are told that Google can NOT resolve this issue. They are a large public company, their model is to have the market decide what content is important (a big issue for them) and they decline to control who can advertise. The scams are on the fringe of the law, they have manipulated the search ranking algorithms, and are using Google adSense as their distribution channel.
Publishers have a responsibility for the quality of all content offered to readers! I do not agree with Mr Electricity at all - taken from his web site - "Google picks the ads, not me. They change all the time, too. Though frankly, I don't care what ads Google picks......"
To get access to the list of domains we block, follow the link to adTumbler on the right hand column of this page. There is information on the costs of scam advertising to publishers and data on how our click through rates improved when we eliminated the scam advertising. The information is offered as a service to our community.
We do encourage you to use our "NESH" search engine to find information on saving energy in air conditioning and heat pumps. Consider installing a smart thermostat and using one of the energy control systems to increase the efficiency of heating and cooling your home.
