We hope that the idea you can get energy for FREE, the outlandish claims of 25% to 50% and the recognizable marketing format used by these scam artists will have been an early alert. These plans are a nasty effort to part you from your hard earned cash.
The "PowerworX e3 Whole Home Energy management System" claims costs saving of 5% - 15% depending on your inductive load by optimizing your homes power factor and reducing the amount of energy your homes motor loads use, such as air conditioners, refrigerators, freezers, washers, dryers, dishwashers, pool pumps, vacuum cleaners, furnace blower motors, fans etc. PowerworX e3 further claims to reduce surges, spikes and electrical noise.
The "EcoPower4 by EcoTrust Energy" claims to conserve energy, protect against surges, spikes, and line noise through the use of "power conditioning". We do not agree. In our opinion this is a residential power factor correction scam!
